14 tbsp. unsalted butter
1 c. white sugar
1/4 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
2 1/2 cups old fashioned oatmeal

Directions:

With electric mixer mix together the sugars and egg. Beat approximately one minute.Add remaining ingredients until form soft dough.
Place sheet of parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Scoop out 2tbsps. dough per cookie. Roll into a ball and place on cookie sheet. Allow plenty of room between each ball of dough.
Mash ball of dough into a patti approx. 3/4 inch thick.
Bake one tray at a time in a 350 deg. oven for 15 minutes. Turn baking sheet half way through baking.
After removing cookies form oven, allow to cool on baking sheet for 15 mins.
