2/3 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 T. water
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 t. soda
1/2 t. salt
12 oz. chocolate chips

Blend ingredients. Bake at 375º for 7 - 9 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to foil to cool completely. Cookies will be soft and moist.
