4 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick and trimmed
veg oil for browning
1 med onion, sliced and separated into rings
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3 cups drained sauerkraut
3/4 cups apple juice
1 1/2 tsp caraway seed
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup sliced tart apples

Directions:
Directions:
1) brown pork chops and set aside
2) place in slow cooker with 1/2 of ingredients except apples.
3) place remaining 1/2 of ingredients on top of chops.
4) top with apple slices
5) cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours (not recommended, but can cook on high for 3 to 4 hours)
