24 large pears
4 large onions
4 large red bell peppers
4 large green bell peppers
4 cups sugar
3 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp. turmeric
2 Tbsp. whole pickling spices
1 Tbsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Peal and slice pears- should be 24 cups after slicing. Place pear slices in water and set aside.
Peal 4 large onions and cut into quarters.
Cut open and peal out core and seeds bell peppers. Drain water out of pears and process pears, onions and bell peppers in food processor.
Again, drain any water out of processed pears (do not squeeze out—just drain). Place above ingredients in a large heavy pot. Add sugar, apple cider vinegar, turmeric, pickling spices, and salt. Stir ingredients to blend and bring to a boil. Continue to cook on a slow boil for 10 minutes. Seal in sterilized jars. Makes 12 pints.
