1 T. salt
1/3 c. molasses
1/3 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. milk
2 T. shortening

6 c. white flour
1 # Colby cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, combine: salt, molasses, corn syrup, brown sugar, milk and shortening. Scald mixture then cool. Mix yeast with warm water. Stir into cooled mixture. Add the rye flour and approximately six cups white flour to make a stiff dough. Put in a greased bowl and let rise until double. Knead 100 times - use flour as you knead, as dough is sticky. Shape into 2 loaves. Then place in greased pans, cover and let rise until double.

Bake at 400º for 15 minutes. Then 325º for 35 minutes.

For cheese version: Knead in one pound Colby cheese that has been cubed.
