3 cup plus 4 Tbsp. plain flour
½ tsp baking powder
1 cup butter or margarine
½ cup Crisco
3 cup sugar
5 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and baking powder. Set aside. Cream butter, Crisco, and sugar. Add eggs. Alternately add the milk and sifted flour. Add vanilla. Pour into large tube pan.
Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 ½ hours.
Take out of oven and let sit in pan for 5 minutes. Invert onto cake plate. May frost or glaze if desired.
