1 lb. meat cut into cubes
4 slices bacon, chopped
flour with salt and pepper
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 beef bouillon cube
3/4 c. V8 juice
1/4 c. port wine
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. steak sauce
1/2 tsp. marjoram
4 small onions
4 carrots
4 potatoes
1 cup celery

Directions:
Toss stew meat in flour mixture. Fry bacon and add floured meat, then brown on all sides. Add garlic and brown. Add water, bouillon cube, V8, wine, lemon juice, steak sauce, and marjoram. Cover and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer 1 1/2 or 2 hours until meat starts to tenderize. Add more water during cooking if needed. Add onions, carrots, potatoes, and celery; cover and simmer another hour until veggies are tender. Add salt and pepper to taste. Thicken with flour as needed.
