2 2/3 c bread flour
3 teasp yeast
1 teasp salt
1 teasp fennel seeds
1/4 teasp chili powder
3 cups cooking oil
1 c warm milk
1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
1. in a large bowl combine flour, yeast, salt, fennel seeds, chili powder; make a well in the middle.
2. Pour oil and milk in well; stir until dough comes together nicely. Add cheese and mix together well.
3. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, about 5 minutes. Shape dough into a ball & return to bowl;cover and let rise until double in size, about 1 hour.
4. Lightly flour work surface; return dough to surface & knead lightly for a minute. roll with rolling pin or pull dough into a rectangle about 12 x 15 inches.
5. Using a sharp knife, cut into strips (12 inch to 12 inch side) about 1/2 inch wide. Lightly flour hands and gently twist each strip.
6. Place each strip onto lightly oiled baking sheet, leaving @ 1 inch between each.
7. Let rise again for 20 minutes; bake in 400 degree oven for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. Gently turn each stick when about halfway baked.
