For Crumb Topping:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp grated lemon peel

For Cake:
1 - 30 oz. can whole plums (drained)
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp grated lemon peel
1/4 tsp salt
4 eggs
1 - 16 oz. can sliced peaches (drained)

Directions:
Directions:
To prepare crumb topping, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium flame. Remove from heat and stir in sugar and lemon peel. Set aside.

Cut the plums in half and pit. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Grease and flour a 9 by 13 baking dish. In large bowl, with an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar til light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low and add flour, baking powder, lemon peel, salt and eggs. Beat til blended. Increase to medium speed and beat til smooth.

Spread batter evenly in dish and top with three fourths of the plum halves. Pinch topping mix into crumbs and sprinkle on top. Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove cake from oven and top with peaches and remaining plums. Bake another 30-35 minutes until top is golden and cake is done.
