Combine flour and powdered sugar in a small bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. Work dough into a ball with hands and knead until smooth. Press a rounded teaspoonful evenly over bottom and side of a small-sized muffin pan to make a shell about 1/8 inch thick. Spoon about 1/2 teaspoon of jam into each. Bake in hot oven (425º) 10 minutes, or until golden around the edgets. Cool several minutes on a wire rack. Loose carefully around edge with a spactula and lift onto rack.
