Beef round or chuck lean cut into cubes
2-3 cloves garlic
1/2 t thyme
1/2 t. basil
1/2 t oregano
Beef broth
Burgundy wine
Pearled white onions
Bacon cut in pieces
Mushrooms (l can)

Directions:
Directions:
Saute garlic cloves in olive oil
Brown beef in olive oil; remove meet and add enough flour to thicken slightly;
Put meat and gravy into a casserole; add spices and some beef broth; Stir and add enough wine to cover meat; bake 2 hrs. checking periodically as liquid may need to be added to keep meat barely covered;
While the meat is cooking, brown some bacon and break into pieces; Saute onions in bacon drippings til lightly browned on low heat
After 1 hr. and 15 min. add small white pearled onions and mushrooms and bacon bits.
Serve with rice, or potatoes and green veggie
