1 29 ounce can of tomato sauce
3/4 t. Garlic powder
4 t. Chili powder
2 t. Cumin powder
3 T Hot sauce
1 t. Onion salt
2 t. Black pepper
3 lbs. Lean hamburg

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the hamburg crumbling as it cooks. Crumble as fine as possible.
Combine all dry ingredients with tomato & hot sauce.
Drain hamburg on paper towel. Combine with sauce mixture.
Simmer over very low heat for 2-3 hours

Serve over glazier or Hebrew National hot dogs in fresh hot dog buns. Can be topped with mustard, chopped onions, shredded cheese, or whatever suits your fancy.

Michigan Hot Dogs are a Northern New York dish. I have never found them in any other place. This recipe is from my aunt and uncle's hot dog stand in Saranac, New York. The "stand" was open in the mid 60's thru the 70's. I always loved "helping out" there.
