1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed and minced
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
12 taco shells, warmed
chopped lettuce
chopped tomatoes
shredded cheese, Cheddar or Monterey Jack
taco sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté ground beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain off excess fat. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder, salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Spoon meat mixture into taco shells and top with some tomato, lettuce, and cheese. Sprinkle each with a little taco sauce.
