Directions:As you are preparing the boiled eggs, drain the tuna well and put into the bowl that you will be using to mix your ingredients together. Prepare the remaining ingredients by dicing, chopping, and measuring everything and adding them into the mixing bowl with the tuna. Peel and chop the eggs, and put into a mixing bowl along with the rest of the ingredients. Mix everything together. Taste and make seasoning adjustments if necessary. The recipe can be made ahead of time up to this point and the mixture refrigerated in a covered bowl.
When ready to make the sandwiches, preheat the oven to 350º F. Thoroughly butter both halves of each bun. Make the sandwiches by spreading the filling completely to the edges of one half of a bun. Top with the other bun half and wrap each sandwich in aluminum foil squares. Put on a flat cookie sheet and "bake"/heat for approximately 15 minutes or until the filling is heated through and the cheese is completed melted. |

Personal
Notes: I usually use a mild Colby cheese, but any of your favorite cheeses could be used.
I prefer to use Miracle Whip salad dressing rather than mayonnaise, but when I do use real mayonnaise, I like Hellman's best instead of a generic brand.
This puts a little different spin on the regular tuna salad sandwich on white bread. Add more ingredients or take away according to your personal preference.
