1/2 C vegetable oil
12 T cocoa
4 T of shortening (or 4 squares of unsweetened chocolate, melted)
2 C granulated sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 C all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 C confectioner's sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix oil, chocolate, and granulated sugar. Blend in one egg at a time until mixed well. Add vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt into mixture. Stir well. Chill several hours or over night. Heat oven 350 degrees. Drop teaspoonful of dough into confectioners sugar.
Roll in sugar to coat well. Shape into balls. Place about 2" apart on greased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Do not over bake--the cookies will be soft when they are taken from the oven and chewy when cool.
