1 lb. raisins
1/2 lb. currants
1/4 lb. citron
1/8 lb. orange peel
1/8 lb. cherries
1/2 lb. dates
1/4 lb. almonds
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
3 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup currant jelly
3/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. cloves
3/8 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup bran

Directions:
Directions:
Cut or chop all fruits and nuts, flour well. Cream sugar and shortening, add beaten eggs. Add jelly, honey, and some flour before adding fruit. Then add bran, floured fruit and nuts. Baking powder and soda sifted with flour. Bake in slow oven. Line pan with wax paper. If you use two pans it will bake in about an hour or an hour and a half. If you use one large pan, it will take about three hours.
