2 c flour
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp + 1/4 salt
2 T shortening
1 c water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, pepper & salt. Cut in shortening until well blended, add water
Mix well until smooth enough to roll out on floured board.
Roll out to about 1/8 " thickness. Cut in oblong strips 1 1/2" wide by 2 1/2" long.
Drop into well seasoned boiling chicken broth one at a time & cook for 1 hr. Return chicken to pot & serve chicken & dumplings together.
