Baked Spaghetti Recipe

1 package (16 oz.) spaghetti
1 lb. ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 jar (26 oz.) meatless spaghetti sauce
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
2 eggs
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
5 tbsp. butter, melted
2 c. (16 oz.) cottage cheese
4 c. (16 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese

Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook ground meat and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and seasoned salt; set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, Parmesan cheese and butter. Drain the spaghetti; add to egg mixture and toss to coat.

Place half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased 13 x 9 in. baking dish. Top with half of the cottage cheese, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.

Cover and bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 15-20 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

I have made this several times for people at church that have just had a new baby, surgery or other need to provide a meal. It is simple food, not too complicated...so, it pleases most people! My family happens to think it is a little "too cheesy", so, I cut back on the amount of cheese...adjust to your personal taste!
