1 lb. lean ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken)
2 bell peppers, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (26 oz.) spaghetti sauce
1 2/3 c. water
1/4 c. Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing
12 oven-ready lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Brown meat in skillet, drain.

Add peppers, garlic, spaghetti sauce, water and dressing; bring to boil. Stir in noodles; cover.

Cook on medium-low heat 10-15 minutes or until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Let stand 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Okay...don't judge me too hard! This is absolutely NOT gourmet!! It is kid-food at it's finest! This is a go-to meal after work when I don't have much time or energy...and don't want to battle the kids about eating! Grant and Colby LOVE this at eat it without complain...and usually with compliments! You can substitute any Italian dressing, of course! Make sure to buy the oven-ready lasagna noodles or it will not work!

P.S. I have also "jazzed up" this recipe with the addition of mushrooms, added dried oregano, basil and minced onion. It's a flexible recipe you can play with!
