1 box cake mix, any flavor
1 envelope Dream Whip
4 eggs
1 tsp. butter flavor
1 tsp. other flavor(usually vanilla)
1 c. water
1/3 c. oil

Butter Cream Frosting;
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 tsp butter flavor
1 tsp other flavor(vanilla)
1 1/2 c Crisco
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp meringue powder
2 T flour
2 lb. sifted powdered sugar

mix together first 7 ingredients. Bake at 325º for 45 min. To the frosting, mix all ingredients adding sugar slowly.

When I worked at Candlelighter's Childhood Cancer Foundation in Austin, Texas, one of the first beautiful little babies I met was Alexis Rene Saucedo. She was a bouncy, bubbly 5 month old with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Her mother became one of my dearest friends (her son, Caleb, was a ring bearer at our wedding!). She made cakes for all occasions and decorated them beautifully. This is her special cake recipe...it is a dream!
