1 1/2 cups maple syrup
3 egg whites
3/4 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Boil syrup to 265º (or when a thread of syrup cracks in cold water). Beat egg whites until stiff. Pour hot syrup slowly over egg whites, beating constantly until icing is of the consistency to spread. Stir in pecans.
