1 c. shortening
1-1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
3 c. uncooked oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening with sugar and peanut butter. Add beaten eggs. Sift flour and dry ingredients together. Add raisins. Add to first mixture alternately with buttermilk in which soda has been dissolved. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
