1 c shortening
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla or lemon
2 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 t cream of tartar
1 t soda
1/2 t salt
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar; add flavoring and eggs. Add dry ingredients. Roll into balls. grease bottom of a glass and dip in granulated sugar to flatten cookies. Repeat for each cookie. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 until just starting to turn color.
