3 cans (10 3/4 oz.) condensed chicken broth
1 c. water
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
1/2 tsp. dried marjoram leaves
4 medium onions
3 whole cloves
1 1/2 lbs. potatoes - pared and sliced thick
1 pkg. (8 oz.) frozen green beans
1/2 lb. bacon (cut in small pieces, fried and drained)
12 pitted green olives - cut in half

Directions:
Directions:
Combine broth, water, seasonings, quartered 3 onions. Stud 1 onion with cloves.
Bring to boil, turn down, cover, simmer 15 minutes.
Add potatoes and beans.
Bring to boil, turn down, cover, simmer 30 minutes.
Add bacon and olives. Simmer 15 minutes.
Before serving discard onion studded with cloves.
