4 tbsp. white sugar
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/3 cup molasses
mid sized onion
salt pork

Directions:
Directions:
Soak two cups beans overnight in water with 2 tbls. baking soda. 6 hours before serving, preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place two halves of onion in bottom of bean pot. Fill 2/3rd full with beans. Add salt pork and top with dry ingredients. Cover bean with FRESH water, cover and bake for 2 1/2 hours. Turn back heat to 275 degrees, add water and bake another 2 hours. Check for more water and then bake for 1 1/2 hours more.
