1 (18 oz.) pkg. chocolate chip cookies
1/4 c. butter
1 jar hot fudge topping
2 qts. vanilla ice cream
8 oz. whipped topping
Hershey's chocolate syrup

1. Crush half the cookies (about 20) to make crumbs. Combine crumbs with melted butter and press into the bottom of a 9-in. springform pan or pie plate. Stand remaining cookies around edge of pan, reserving 2-3 cookies for top. Spread fudge topping over crust, heat it up for easier spreading. Freeze 15 mins.

2. Meanwhile, soften 1 qt. of ice cream in microwave or on countertop. After crust has chilled, spread softened ice cream over fudge layer. Freeze 30 mins.

3. Scoop remaining qt. of ice cream into balls and arrange over spread ice cream layer. Freeze until firm, 4 hrs. or overnight. Crush the remaining 2-3 cookies. To serve, dollop with whipped cream, then sprinkle with crushed cookies and drizzle with chocolate syrup.

Get creative with this recipe by changing out the "cookie" and the "ice cream" ...try Oreos with Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. Or Reese's PB cups with Moosetracks ice cream. Or Twix with Chocolate Chip ice cream. Possibilities are endless!
