2/3 c Eagle brand condensed milk, 5 tsp. lemon juice,(1-2 lemons)
1/2 lb. (2 c) vanilla wafer crumbs, 1/2 c. chopped dates, 1/2 c. chopped nut meats, 1 T water, confectioners sugar.

Put Eagle Brand in mixing bowl. Stir in 4 t. lemon juice. Add vanilla wafer crumbs. Mix well. Let stand 10 in. Meanwhile, mix dates, nut meats, 1 t. lemon juice and water. blend well. Sprinkle 12" x 12" piece waxed paper with powdered sugar. Place crumb mixture on waxed paper; roll into 8 x 10" rectangle. Spread evenly with date nut mixture. Roll as for jelly roll. Wrap in the waxed paper. Chill 6 to 8 hours. Cut in 8 - 1 inch slices. Serve with sauce or whipped cream.
