12 Corn tortillas, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 (l6oz) can chopped tomatoes(Mexican or Italian), 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, 2 lbs hamburger, 1 1/2 tsp powder cumin, 1/4 tsp red pepper, 2 cups cottage cheese, 1 egg, beaten...............Garnish: 2 Cups shredded lettuce, 1/2 cups chopped tomatoes, 1/4 cup sliced black olives, 1/2 cups grated Cheddar cheese, 3 chopped green onions.

Line bottom and sides of a 9x12 glass pan with tortillas. Let the tortillas extend over top of pan about 1/2 to 1 inch. Brown hamburger, add seasonings and tomatoes. Simmer until most liquid is gone. Combine cottage cheese, Monterey Jack and egg. Set aside. Put a layer of tortillas over hamburger mixture; add cheese mixture. Bake 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Garnish: with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions and olives.

Got this recipe years ago. Love it don't make anymore. I put my garnish on top of casserole diagonal. Olives then lettuce then tomatoes, ect. then I decided to put in bowls and let people do there own garnish.
