10 pounds of peeled and sliced pears
10 pounds of sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the pears and sugar together in large pan and let set overnight. Cook pear and sugar mixture until syrup thickens to about the consistency of pancake syrup. This cooking process takes about 3 hrs. to get the right consistency. Let set about 5 minutes then pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
