4 small very ripe bananas
1 stick butter, softened
2/3 c. white sugar
3 large eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. semi sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 alt-0186. Mash bananas, but leave a little lumpy. Set aside. Combine butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add milk and combine well. Add this mixture to bananas and combine well. Sift dry ingredients and mix into banana mixture. Add chocolate chips. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes. May be frozen.

The chocolate chips should sink to the bottom. I sometimes help them along by gently pushing them to the bottom with a spatula.
