10 chickens cut up
4 pods off dried cayenne pepper
1/2 c. salt
2 c. flour
1/2 gal milk
black pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Place chicken, cayenne pepper and salt in large black pot with enough water to cover the chicken.
Place pot over outdoor fire and bring ingredients to a boil. Cook about 45 minutes or until chicken is done. Remove chicken and broth from fire. Remove chicken from pot and skin and debone. Make a thickening with the milk, flour and enough warm broth to make a paste without lumps. Return the chicken meat and thickening to the broth in the pot and return to heat. (Heat but do not boil! ) Add black pepper to taste.
