1 med. size head cabbage
1 tsp. salt
1 grated carrot
1 chopped sweet pepper

2 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1 c. vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
Mix salt and cabbage and let stand 1 hour. Then squeeze out excess liquid. Add carrot and pepper. Mix well.

Boil sugar, water, vinegar and celery seed. Let cool and add to cabbage, then freeze. This thaws easily and can be refrozen.

I made this in large amounts every year and we both enjoyed. The kids were not too fond of it.
