1 qt. beef broth or soup bone
1 pt. celery
1 pt. carrots
1 pt. peas
1 pt. cabbage
1 pt. corn
1 pt. green beans
1 c. soup beans
1 pt. lima beans
1 pt. tomatoes
2 Tbsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Chop celery, carrots, cabbage and green beans (medium or fine). Combine with the other ingredients. Cook 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Add 1/2 c. rice 15 min. before serving.

My vegetable soup was never that good until I found this recipe in an Amish cookbook. (I make mine without the rice.)
