2 envelopes yeast
1/2 cup lukewarm water
3 cups milk
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs (beaten)
2 tsp salt
5 beans crushed cardamom seeds
1/2 cup citron
2 cups raisins
1/2 cup candied cherries
10-11 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water. Let stand for 5 minutes. Grind raisins. Pour hot milk over butter, sugar and salt. Let stand till lukewarm. Add yeast and about half the flour. Beat well for 10 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly. Add fruit, cardamom and rest of flour to make a soft dough. Place in a greased bowl. Let rise, then knead and let rise again. Shape into 5 round loaves and place on greased pans. Let rise again-approximately 1 hour. After removing from oven brush with melted butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon (to make a round pan I use peanut butter cans)
