2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice

Directions:
Fill a 6 qt. slow-cooker with apple slices which have been peeled and cored. Add 1/2 c. water. Cook on low until apples are tender or overnight. Pour off all liquid from apples and puree cooked apples a few at a time. Return puree to slow-cooker. Add sugar, spices and vinegar and cook uncovered for 3 hours. Put in 1/2 pint jars and process in water bath for 20 minutes. Makes about 7 half pints.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I use my apple peeler to peel and core. It goes a lot faster and the uniform slices cook more evenly. I also use my food processor to puree the apples.
We like Staymen Apples and I use 3 c. of sugar.
