2 c flour
2 c quick cooking oatmeal
1 c packed brown sugar
1 t soda
1/4 t salt
1 c margarine melted
2 c chocolate chips
1 1/2 c chopped nuts
1 jar caramel ice cream topping
3 T flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine the first six ingredients until crumbly. Save 1/2 crumbs for topping and put remaining 1/2 in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips. Mix 3 T flour into the caramel topping and drizzle over the crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake an additional 20 minutes. Chill before cutting.

I use this recipe when a small pan of carmelitas just isn't enough...which is often. These are great to take to a pot luck dinner or to work.
