1 c flour
1 c quick cooking oatmeal
3/4 c packed brown sugar
1/2 t soda
1/4 t salt
3/4 c margarine melted
3/4 c caramel ice cream topping
3 T flour
1 c chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350º. Mix the first six ingredients until crumbly. Save 1/2 of the mixture for topping. Press other 1/2 into a greased 9" square pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Mix caramel topping with flour and drizzle over the chocolate chips. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over top and bake for an additional 15 - 20 minutes. Chill before cutting.

Several years ago, we have some very good friends, Ron and Christie Keefer, that we played cards with almost every Saturday night. One night Christie had this and said it was in honor of the girls "carmelizing" the guys in cards. Good times.
