1 1/4 C. all purpose Flour
3t. baking powder
1/2 C. sugar
1/2 Salt
1 1/2 C. Kellogg's Bran Buds cereal
1 1/4 C. Milk
1 Egg
1/3 C. soft shortening or vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour, baking powder, salt and Sugar. Set aside.
Measure Bran Buds cereal and milk into mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Let stand 1 to 2 minutes or until cereal is softened. Add Egg and Shortening. Beat well. Add dry ingredients to cereal mixture stirring ONLY until combined. Portion batter evenly into 12 greasedor paper lined cups. Bake in preheated over 400º 25 minutes or untill muffins are golden brown. Serve warm.

I add 2 or 3 T. cocoa to dry ingredients for additional surprise. Makes them delicious!

The old SeaMart in Olympia used to serve a similar muffin and was sold out every morning. So if you didn't get there early-you missed out! These came very close to the coveted morsels.
