2 C. 40% Bran Flakes
4 C. Bran buds- Kellogs
2 C. boiling Water
4 Eggs
1 C. Shortening
2 1/2 C. Sugar
1qt. Buttermilk
5 C. Flour
5t. Baking Soda
1 t. Salt
1 1/2 C. Raisins, Opt.

Directions:
Directions:
In a very large bowl, combine cereal Flakes, cereal Buds and boiling water. Mix well and let stand.
In another bowl, combine Eggs, Shortening, Sugar and Buttermilk. Mix well and add to the Bran mixture. Sift together flour, Soda and Salt. Stir flour mixture into the bran mixture. Add Raisins, if desired.

This can be refrigerated in well covered jars up to seven weeks. When ready to bake,stir and fill greased muffin pans two-thirds full and bake in preheated oven 375º for about 25 minutes or until done.
