2 c (1 lb) dry beans (Navy or Kidney)
6 c water
1 large onion, quartered
2 garlic cloves, crushed
½ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse beans and remove stones and shriveled beans. Soak in fresh water 12 hours or over night. Rinse again. Put beans in slow cooker and add enough water to cover beans with 2-3 inches above beans. Cover. Cook on HIGH 8 -12 hours. Add salt during the last half hour of cooking time.
