1/4 c. cooking oil
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1 egg
2 T. water
1 t. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 t. baking soda
1/2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
3/4 pkg. chocolate morsels
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together 1/4 c. cooking oil, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. brown sugar, and 1/2 c. peanut butter. Next add 1 egg, 2 T. water and 1 t. vanilla.

Sift together: 1 1/4 c. flour, 3/4 t. baking soda, 1/2 t. baking powder and 1/4 t. salt.

Blend into creamed mixture, then add 3/4 pkg. chocolate morsels and 1/2 c. chopped walnuts. Bake in a greased 13" x 9" x 2" baking pan @ 350º for 20 minutes. When done, sprinkle rest of chocolate morsels over top and allow to melt on hot cake, then spread as icing. You may sprinkle nuts. Cut into bars.

This recipe was given to me by your mother, Heidi Michalske, who was a young teenager still living at home at the time. (The recipe says it comes from the "Kaiser Kitchen", so that tells you how young your mom really was when she gave this to me!) I was a young newlywed at the time, and have since used this recipe over the years. It holds a special place in my heart because it came right from your mom who took the time as a teenager to think of me and give me this recipe! Enjoy!
