CHICKEN:
4 chicken halves with skin
Garlic salt
Pepper

LEMON BUTTER SAUCE:
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. thyme

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter, combine with thyme, Tabasco sauce, and lemon juice. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic salt on all sides of chicken. Heat grill and place chicken, bone side down, on grill, being careful to not burn. After a minute or two, turn chicken skin side down to acquire grill marks, and then turn skin side down again. Turn off half the burners and grill over indirect heat for approximately one hour, basting frequently.

This recipe is very similar to Dad's recipe listed above, but has a distinctive lemony flavor that permeates the meat.
