1 pkg. (2 lbs.) frozen hash browns
3/4 c. diced onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 stick melted butter or margarine
8 oz. grated cheddar cheese
About 1 c. crushed potato chips or Ritz crackers

Thaw potatoes for 30 minutes. Mix all remaining ingredients. Put in greased 9 x 13 in. pan. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes @ 375º. Sprinkle with crushed potato chips or crushed Ritz crackers and bake another 30 minutes or until slightly golden.
