Ingredients:
Ingredients:
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup sifted flour
½ cup very finely chopped blanched almonds
¾ cup very finely chopped candied orange peel (4 oz. package)
2 4-oz. bars sweet cooking chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together heavy cream and sugar; blend well. Stir in the flour, almonds and peel. Drop by scant teaspoonfuls about 1 ¼ inch apart onto heavily greased and floured baking sheet. Flatten cookies with a spatula (Note from Mutti: I find this almost impossible – the batter sticks – so I just use back of spoon to spread them out).

Bake at 350 about 10-12 minutes, until brown on edges but not all over. Allow to cool a minute or so, and then remove to waxed paper to cool.

Melt 2 4-oz. bars of sweet cooking chocolate over hot water. Turn COOL cookies upside down and spread with the melted chocolate. Store covered or freeze.

Makes Approximately 3 1/2 to 4 dozen.
