1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 cup grated cheese
1 qt. tomatoes
1 can red kidney beans,drained
1/4 cup chili sauce
5 dashes of hot sauce
fritos

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef with onions and chili powder.Add salt and pepper to taste. Layer the following ingredients in a 2 1/2 qt. casserole dish.
Meat, cheese, beans, tomatoes, chili sauce and fritos. Bake covered at 375 for 30-35 min or until heated through.

I got this recipe from a book printed by the gas company in the 70-80's. It became a favorite of the family, was tasty and easy to fix.
