1 cup grits
1/2 tsp. salt
4 cups water
2 large cloves of garlic, minced
1 tbs. fresh ground pepper
1/4-1/2 cup heavy cream
4 tbs. butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Gently sauté garlic in butter in skillet and keep warm. Bring 4 cups salted water to a boil in a sauce pan and slowly pour in grits, whisking rapidly so grits won't clump. Reduce to a simmer and cover for 10-15 minutes. Remove cover and slowly whisk in heavy cream until grits have a creamy consistency... (about 5 minutes.) Add pepper and garlic butter. Serve immediately.
