4 slices bread
Butter
1/3 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed (can use other cheeses on hand, but not white cheeses)
1/2 lb. deli ham, sliced
2 cups milk
4 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
Optional additions: chopped green onion, green pepper, mushrooms

To be prepared just before baking:
2 tbsp. melted butter mixed with 1 cup corn flakes.

Remove crusts from bread (can save the crusts to make bread crumbs). Butter and cube bread. Place in 9" x 13" pan. Sprinkle cheese and meat over bread.

In a bowl mix milk, eggs, salt, and dry mustard (and optional additions). Pour over bread mixture, cover and set in refrigerator overnight (or all day if night serving).

Just before baking, mix butter and corn flakes. Sprinkle over casserole, then bake at 325º for 1 hour or until inserted knife in center comes out clean.
