3-4# beef brisket
1 onion, sliced
¼ cup chili sauce
2 tbls brown sugar
2 clove garlic, minced
1 (12 oz) can beer

Directions:
Directions:
Season brisket with salt and pepper. Place meat in 9x13x2 baking dish. Cover with onion slices. In bowl, combine chili sauce, brown sugar, garlic and beer. Pour over meat. Cover with foil. Bake in 350 oven for 3 ½ hours.
After one hour arrange carrots, potatoes, and cabbage around the meat. Cover and continue baking. Uncover and bake 30 minutes more, basting occasionally with juices. To serve, cut meat diagonally across grain. Note: delicious with rolls with mustard, mayonnaise and horseradish.
