½ pound (2 sticks) butter
2 garlic cloves, pureed
Cayenne or Worcestershire sauce to taste

Soften butter and add garlic. Mix well. Add either cayenne or Worcestershire to taste.

This also needs to mellow, but it takes a little longer to come to room temperature and be ready to serve. It is good on almost any meat.

Note: Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce was originally a doctor's prescription to aid in digestion, according to "Clemson House Cookbook."
