3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 1/4 cup Crisco shortening
1 egg
1 tbs vinegar
6-7 tbs cold water (1/2 cup)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour and salt. Cut shortening into flour mix until it looks like corn meal. Beat egg in a cup then add vinegar and water. Add this all at once to dry mixture and stir with a fork until moistened. Don't over mix. Can chill for about 1 hour, then roll out and fit in a pie pan.
Bake 375 degrees for 12 min or until light brown.

This recipe is a wonderful no fail pie crust. It is always tender. If you have not been able to make pie crust, try this one. I have used it for at least 20 years. If you have some pieces of this dough left over, fit in a 9x13 pan, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake for about 12 min. We call these pie crust cookies.
